A sketch of my Great Uncle Dale, my Grandpa's little brother, who died in WWII. I've seen a few photos over the years but until I tried drawing him I never really noticed what a young kid he was. 19 years old, I believe, when he died during a battle in the Philippines. Thank you to Dale and to all the others who never made it home.
